Hi, I’m Sophie & I’m so glad you’re here 🤍

I’m a Perth-based makeup artist and the founder of By Sophie Leigh.

I’ve been in the beauty industry for over 10 years. Straight out of high school, I trained as a beautician and spent several years working in salons, gaining hands-on experience across everything from facials and massage to waxing. But it was always makeup that truly had my heart - I fell in love with the confidence it gives women and the way it can enhance natural beauty while still feeling authentic.

During the peak of the pandemic in 2020, I took the leap and started my own home-based makeup business, which has grown into what is now By Sophie Leigh.

Over the years, I’ve worked with hundreds of beautiful clients for everything from special events to weddings, refining the signature style I’m known for today.

My work is best described as soft luxe glam - radiant, skin-focused makeup with diffused tones and a timeless finish that still feels like you, just elevated.

Whether you’re visiting my home studio for an event, celebration, or preparing for something truly special, my focus is always on creating a calm, considered experience where you feel confident, comfortable, and looked after from start to finish.
